What I work with and what each one is for. One page per tool, kept short: what it does, and what I build with it.

n8n

An open-source automation tool that connects the systems you already use. It can run on your own server, so the data stays with you.

A cloud automation platform where processes are assembled visually. Nothing to run yourself, in exchange for a monthly fee.

Google's paid advertising system. You appear when someone searches for what you do, and you pay per click.

Facebook and Instagram ads from one system. Here you target people rather than searches: interests, age, location.

Google's free business profile, shown in Search and on Maps. For a local service this is often what brings the first enquiry.

OpenAI's language models, the ones ChatGPT runs on. They can be built into your site and your processes, not just used as a chat window.

Anthropic's language model. It handles long documents in one piece and is more careful when it is unsure.

A newsletter and automated e-mail system. Free at small list sizes, and it connects to most websites without trouble.
